Steps to Join:

  1. Download/Complete the Application Form – Available on the BSLMS Society website.
  2. Prepare the Required Documents –
  • A filled and signed membership application form
  • A copy of your MD / Diploma in dermatology certificate
  • A brief CV or profile about you
  • Payment proof of the applicable membership fee
  1. Submit Your Application – Email the documents to secretary@bslms.com or post them to the BSLMS Secretariat.
  2. Confirmation of Membership – Upon verification and approval, you will receive your membership certificate and welcome kit.

Application Process

BSLMS accepts membership applications throughout the year. All applications undergo a formal review process led by the Membership Committee. Once approved, membership benefits commence immediately. If you apply online, you will be prompted to create a BSLMS account before submitting the membership form. Please ensure that all sections of the application are completed accurately and all required documents are attached.

Review & Approval

Every properly completed application is reviewed by the Membership Committee. In special cases, the application may be referred to the BSLMS Executive Council for further evaluation.

If an application is declined or approved under a different membership category than requested, the applicant may submit a written request for reconsideration, as outlined in the BSLMS Membership Policies.

Upon approval, members will receive a Welcome Kit, including:

The BSLMS Early Career Network (ECN) is a focused initiative designed to support dermatology residents, fellows, and young dermatologists as they progress from training to independent clinical practice in laser, energy-based, rejuvenative, and regenerative dermatology.

Aligned exclusively with BSLMS membership categories, the Early Career Network provides structured education, mentorship, and professional development for PLM and early-stage Life Members.

Residents & Dermatologists in Fellowship Training

PLM members form the core of the Early Career Network.
The ECN supports them during the most critical phase of skill development and clinical decision-making.

The BSLMS Resident Liaison Program is a structured initiative designed to strengthen communication, representation, and engagement between dermatology residents (PLM members) and the leadership of BSLMS.

The program ensures that the academic, educational, and professional needs of residents are effectively represented within the Society, while also nurturing future leaders in laser and regenerative dermatology.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM

The Resident Liaison Program aims to:

  • Serve as a formal communication bridge between residents and BSLMS leadership

  • Ensure resident perspectives are considered in educational planning

  • Improve awareness of BSLMS programs among residents

  • Encourage early professional engagement and responsibility

Support smooth transition from residency to independent practice

WHO ARE RESIDENT LIAISONS

Resident Liaisons are selected BSLMS Provisional Life Members (PLM) who act as representatives for their institution, region, or training cohort.

They function as academic ambassadors, facilitating two-way communication between residents and the Society.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident Liaisons are responsible for:

  • Acting as a point of contact between residents and BSLMS

  • Sharing information on BSLMS educational programs, workshops, and events

  • Encouraging participation in academic activities, conferences, and mentorship programs

  • Collecting feedback from residents regarding educational needs and challenges

  • Supporting resident-focused initiatives, case discussions, and learning sessions

Promoting ethical practice and Society standards among peers

Resident Liaisons receive:

  • Orientation from the BSLMS leadership

  • Guidance from assigned Life Member mentors
